This large stunning 3-sheet poster was created by the artist Charles B. Medin for the Chicago Rapid Transit Lines in 1926. Medin depicts the grand Colonial Revival-style Stock Yards National Bank building which was newly opened in 1925 and modeled on Philadelphia’s Independence Hall where both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution where hashed out by America’s Founding Fathers. Chicago’s Independence Hall and her imposing eight story bell tower were situated at a main entrance gate to Union Stock Yards and became symbols of a meat packing industry that created many thousands or jobs, generated great wealth across the country and truly made Chicago “hog butcher to the world”.

This poster has been professionally linen backed with minor restoration and touch up as needed. If Chicago is "your kind of town" then this large striking vintage original linen backed poster will be the centerpiece of your home or office.
