This stirring poster was created by the artist Bernard Perlin during the darkest days of WWII for the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 26. Under a wintry gray sky, American G.I.s in their burly US Army wool trench coats march purposely past a wall of Revolutionary War Minutemen who stand at stern attention with the hardship of Valley Forge winters etched on their faces.  The scene of Revolutionary War soldiers and soldiers from WWII together in the same image underscores the time tested truth of the poster's simple tag line - Americans will always fight for liberty.

This vintage original WWII era poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear and slight toning from age. Two small half inch pieces of easily removable acid free archival tissue have been applied to verso to stabilize two small half inch splits on fold lines at the edge.  This poster is folded as issued and retains strong color.  Overall condition is very good.
