This vintage original pictorial map of the Greek island of Rhodes was created by the artist Egon Huber and issued in 1935 during the Italian Occupation period. The Kingdom of Italy seized Rhodes in 1912 during the Italo-Turkish War and with other seized islands formed the Isole Italiane dell'Egeo or Italian Island of the Aegean. Rhodes remained a possession of Italy until 1943 and was then formally ceded to Greece in 1947.

This map was issued in a brochure format with one side entirely devoted to Huber’s delightful pictorial map of the island. The verso has the cover panels, several sepia photos and text in English language.

This vintage original pictorial map was printed in Milan, Italy and issued by ENIT, the Italian State Tourism Department, in 1935. This vintage original pictorial map is folded as issued and in excellent almost “like new” condition with just modest toning from age and light handling wear.
