This vintage original poster was issued by The National Board of Fire Underwriters for the 1942 Fire Prevention Week which ran from October 4 to 10 that year. The artwork for the poster is attributed to Victor Keppler and features a man’s shoe stepping down on burning papers under the title EVERY FIRE IS SABOTAGE TODAY! The WWII era Civil Defense insignia created by noted graphic designer Charles Coiner appears in the lower left hand corner of the image area.

This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed. A tear of a few inches on the left edge has been expertly repaired as have short tears and creases along the lower edge and small notch off the margin on the left edge has been replaced. The poster retains strong color and displays very nicely. Overall condition is very good.
