This rare poster was created by graphic designer and “Logo Legend” Don Ervin for the Herman Miller, Inc. company of Zeeland, Michigan. An assortment of black silhouetted tables and chairs surround the Herman Miller logo in a design first used by the company in magazine print advertising in 1961. Ervin is not among the most well-known Mid-Century America graphic designers but many of the iconic corporate logos he created are instantly recognizable including logos for Abbott Laboratories, Transamerica, Met Life Insurance, Conoco and TRW among others.

This poster is an unrestored vintage original which looks to have been trimmed slightly on the edges presumably for framing at one time. The poster shows moderate handling wear including some creasing in the image area, a pinhole on each corner, a couple small spots and scuffs and a bit of wear on the edges in places. This poster is almost impossible to find. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
