This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States Government Office of Price Administration to help inform Americans on the Home Front how to shop for groceries using the newly issued Ration Book Two. The system of rationing and use of the ration books during WWII was a rather complicated process that created a lot of confusion for Americans on the Home Front so thus the need to issue posters that helped explain things. While this poster explained how the ration books worked other posters were issued to promote rationing as a patriotic duty and to show how rationing on the Home Front was helping American fighting forces on foreign shores.

This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and is in very good condition overall with just modest toning from age, light handling wear and slightly off-centered fold lines. Overall condition is very good.
