This vintage original and very rare WWII poster was issued by the Willys-Overland Motors company in advance of the 1943 Schools-At-War “Triple Threat” Jeep War Bond Campaign. These posters were designed for use in schools and used to raise money toward the purchase of Jeeps for American forces fighting overseas. The poster indicates each Jeep costs $1,165 and illustrates 19 different essential Jeep parts such as Engine, Hood, Tires, Clutch and more. The price for each part shown totals $1,165. As the students raised funds they would cut out illustrations of the various parts off the companion sheet and past them onto the poster until they had raised the $1,165 needed to “send a Jeep down the ramp”.

The Willys MB Jeep is widely considered one of the most essential pieces of equipment in the Allied arsenal during WWII. Dwight Eisenhower praised the Jeep and General George C. Marshall called it “America's greatest contribution to modern warfare.”

This vintage original poster includes the companion parts sheet that measures 22” x 14”.  This poster has been professionally linen backed while the companion parts sheet is unbacked.   The poster shows moderate handling including some wear along the fold lines and at the intersection of the fold lines which was skillfully addressed and mitigated during the linen backing process.
A small notch off the margin on right edge has been replaced and small areas of loss have been expertly repaired along the top edge and upper corners.   The unbacked companion parts sheet shows moderate handling wear and has two small edge tears without paper loss.  The poster retains strong color and displays very well.  Overall condition is very good.
