This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist Howard Scott and issued in 1945 to help promote the US Treasury Department program that encouraged newspaper delivery boys or "newsies" to sell War Savings Stamps to their route customers. This Treasury Department program was a huge success that resulted in paperboys selling almost $1.7 billion in War Saving Stamps during the war. This poster depicts and image of an American soldier hanging off the side of a ship waiting to board the landing craft with a text block that reads:

Newspaper Boys: Back Him to the Limit! The battle for the beaches is on in the Pacific. Invasion Craft are needed to put our armed forces ashore to meet and crush the Japs on their home grounds. Our national goal is 200 Landing Boats…DO YOUR PART!

This vintage original poster is lightly used and shows moderate handling wear with no tape or pinholes.  This poster is lightly bumped on the edges in spots, shows modest toning from age and has a small bit of separation at the intersections of fold lines in one or two spots.   The poster has a bit of dust staining to verso not affecting the front side which retains strong color.   The poster is folded as issued and overall condition is very good.
