This poster was created for the Office of War Information in 1943 by the artist John Falter. A strapping young sailor flashes a confident smile as he moves effortlessly under the burden of enormous bundle of ropes and canvas slung over his shoulder. The jovial image is underscored by the deadly serious admonition “If you tell where he’s going….he may never get there”. The lower margin shows 1943 publication date. This poster is a vintage original in the full one sheet size and is in very good condition overall with just modest handling wear and light toning from age. The lower margin indicates a 1943 production date. This poster was issued folded and will be shipped that way. Overall condition is very good plus.
