This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 55 in 1943. This poster was issued to encourage women to fill essential wartime jobs that previously been held by men. A beaming Rosie the Riveter figure flashes a satisfied smile as she operates her machine tool with a caption above her that reads “I’ve found the job where I fit best!”. The artist’s name appears signed in the lower left corner of the image.
This poster is folded as issued and in very good condition overall with just modest handling wear and light toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
