This is a vintage original overhead trolley car cardboard sign issued as advertising by the Taggart Baking Company of Indianapolis. This sign features a box of Taggart Baking Company’s Select Soda Cracker along with a bowl of soup and a tomato salad under the title The Ideal Cracker for every occasion – Triple Wax Seal, one pound packages. This vintage original trolley card sign has a 1923 copyright by Taggart Baking Company printed in the lower margin and also shows “Printed by THE TABARD PRESS, New York City”.

This sign has a small chip off the margin in the lower left hand corner and a nick 1n the margin on the right edge and is otherwise fully complete and well intact. The sign shows some scattered spots and small stains in the image area. There are a couple short cracks or slight creased on the left edge and the original owner applied two small pieces of tape on the back of the sign.  The colors remain strong and the sign displays nicely.
