This is a vintage original overhead trolley car cardboard sign issued as advertising by the Taggart Baking Company of Indianapolis. This sign features a box of Taggart Baking Company’s Alaskan Sugar Wafers along with a fruit cocktail and a plate full of the cookies under the title Delightfully Delicious. This vintage original trolley card sign has a 1924 copyright by Taggart Baking Company printed in the lower margin and also shows “Printed by THE TABARD PRESS, New York City”.
This sign has a small chip off the margin in the lower righthand corner and is otherwise fully complete and well intact. The sign shows some scattered spots and small stains in the image area. There are a couple small stained areas showing in the margins. The colors remain strong and the sign displays nicely. Overall condition is very good. This is an original antique issued 100 years ago.
