This vintage original poster was created to advertise the French cigarette brand Celtiques by the artist Leon Dupin in 1934. A salty Frenchman with bulging biceps and a Fu Manchu mustache looks satisfied as he exhales a small cloud of Celtique smoke. The lower margin is dated 1934 and indicates the printer’s name - Berger - Levrault Nancy – Paris.
This poster was professionally backed to linen with a small amount of expert repair to a couple short tears on the lower edge. The poster shows some toning from age and a small bit of foxing near the bottom edge. Overall condition is very good for this vintage original.
