This delightful poster is the third in the Herman Miller Summer Picnic series created by the company’s illustrious graphic designer Steve Frykholm. This poster for the 1972 Herman Miller Summer Picnic features a Pop Art style rendering of a piece of cake complete with a frosting and cherry on top. The unveiling of Frykholm’s whimsical company summer picnic posters became a much anticipated annual event at Herman Miller. This is only the third poster in the series which would continue in the decades that followed with each poster featuring a different picnic food item.
This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear including slight creasing in spots, a small crease at the tip of upper right hand corner and a small clip off the tip of the lower right hand corner. This poster also shows a faint bit of staining near the top center which is hard to see. The poster displays beautifully and is otherwise in very good condition overall.
