This vintage original poster was created for an exhibition of 20 works by contemporary artists at the Laville Bastille Gallery in Paris in 1994.  Andy Warhol’s Absolut Vodka bottle was included and selected for the exhibition’s poster.    Carillion, the company that imported Absolut Vodka into the United States, commission Warhol in 1985 to create a painting featuring Warhol’s interpretation of the Absolut Vodka bottle.  The result of this became the iconic “Absolut Warhol” painting later used in an advertising campaign for Absolut Vodka.  Warhol had actually been commissioned to produce two paintings of Absolut bottles, the second of which didn’t appear in public until it was auctioned in 2020.

This poster is a vintage original from the Laville Bastille Gallery exhibition in 1994.  This poster is unused with no tape or pinholes and in excellent condition overall with just slight evidence of handling.
