This whimsical c.1959 Atomic Age poster was most likely produced for use in schools by the Ex-Cell-O-Packaging Corporation which manufactured the Pure-Pak milk cartons found everywhere including on this poster. The artwork may be by and is definitely in the style of Rocky & Bullwinkle creator Jay Ward who, through his Jay Ward Productions studio along with Alex Anderson, produced advertising characters and artwork for major clients and products such as Captain Crunch and Quisp cereals among others. This poster is titled “The New Story Of Milk – How We Get Our Milk” and explains the evolution of milk packaging and delivery up to the modern Pure-Pak milk carton. The advertising character has a propeller beanie very much in the style of the Quisp cereal guy.

No publisher or artist is credited on the poster and there is no date but this is a vintage original which dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s. The poster has a couple light lateral folds and moderate handling wear including short tear of about a half inch at the bottom and pinholes on the corners. The poster is clean, has nice color and displays very nicely.
