This is a vintage original poster was issued by the McDonnell-Douglas Corporation in the early 1970s to promote the DC-10 aircraft. The artist, George Akimoto, was a Japanese American born in Stockton, California in 1922 whose career as an artist began when he learned cartooning in an internment camp during WWII. Akimoto is most well known today for his prolific illustrator of American movie posters in the 1970s. This poster is not dated but probably issued shortly after the DC-10 was introduced to the flying public by American Airlines in late 1971.

This vintage original poster doesn’t appear to have even been hung up and has no tape or pinholes. The poster shows only light handling wear and overall condition is very good.
