This vintage original 1926 window card poster advertises The Hollywood Scandals, one of the most successful shows rotating between affiliated theaters within the Mutual Burlesque Association circuit. Mutual was the largest and most successful burlesque circuit operating in the United States in the 1920s up until failing as a result of The Great Depression in 1931. Many famous personalities and later stars of stage and screen got their start on the Mutual Burlesque circuit including both Bud Abbott and Lou Costello as individual performers, Gypsy Lee Rose, Mae West and others.

This window card is not dated but The Hollywood Scandals appeared on the Mutual Burlesque circuit in the mid to late 1920s. The poster indicates Tuesday, December 28th which means 1926 since December 28 was a Tuesday that year. The lower margin indicates this window card was made by the Erie Printing & Litho. Company of Erie, Pennsylvania. This is a vintage original window card poster from the 1920s printed on cardboard with light handling wear and some toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
