This is an original window card poster for the final performance of Marian Anderson’s 1964-1965 Farewell Tour at Carnegie Hall in New York City. This window card is printed one side only on cardstock measuring about 22” x 14” and features a large photo of Marian Anderson by Lotte Meitner-Graf under the title S. Hurok presented MARIAN ANDERSON – Farewell Tour 1964-1965. The date of the performance was Easter Sunday, April 18, 1965.

This window card is from THE final performance of Marian Anderson’s long and celebrated career. Her talent was immense but her courage in breaking racial barriers made her a role model to millions of all races. This window card is an unrestored original with a couple small stains and small piece of tape in the lower right hand corner. There is another small spot on the left edge where it looks like a small piece of tape was removed as well as a couple small pin holes and moderate handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
