This elaborate pictorial map depicting events of WWII was created by English born Canadian cartographer Stanley Turner. Turner created several of these maps for the Globe and Mail newspaper in Toronto and then licensed the maps to the C.C. Peterson advertising agency for distribution in the United States where they were often overprinted and distributed as advertising novelties.

This map is printed 9th Edition in the lower margin is printed with 1945 copyright by C.C. Peterson of Toronto. This map also indicates that Turman and Churchill officially declare V-E Day on May 8, 1945. The cartouche area of the map is printed:

This map is incredibly detailed with war events indicated all the way to May 1945 and V-E Day. Smaller inset maps depicting conquests of the Persian Empire, Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, The Conquests of Islam and Europe Under Napoleon are printed along the left edge. This vintage original map is folded as issued and in almost like new condition with just slight handling and modest toning from age. Overall condition is excellent.
