This is a vintage original Atomic Age pictorial cartoon map of the Little Crow Lake region of central Minnesota. This is a folding map that folds open to about 21.5” x 17.25” with the pictorial cartoon map covering the entirety of one side. Included are whimsical icons and cartoonish caricatures illustrating special features and points of interest in the region. The lower left hand corner indicates this map was made by Color Process Advertisers of Willmar, Minnesota. The lower right hand corner indicates the artist’s name E(?) Peterson and ’59 so thus a 1959 date for this vintage original.

Lakes featured include Green Lake, Nest Lake, Norway Lake, Lake Florida, Solomon Lake, Diamond Lake, Lake Andrew, Games Lake, Eagle Lake, Elkhorn Lake, Henderson Lake, Long Lake, Big Kandiyohi Lake and George Lake and more. Towns featured include New London, Spicer, Pennock, Willmar, Kandiyohi, Atwater, Hawick, Prinsburg, Roseland, Blomkest, Thorpe and Lake Lillian.

This vintage original map is folded as issued in an excellent, near mint condition with just the modest toning from age. The colors are bold and it doesn’t look like this map was ever unfolded. This map would frame up beautifully.
