1899 Landa’s Park New Braunfels Texas Railroad Excursion Broadside Antique

This is an original antique 1899 broadside advertising a picnic excursion to Landa’s Park in New Braunfels, Texas issued by the International and Great Northern Railroad aka The International Route.  This broadside is printed one side only on thin paper and measures about 19” x 8”.   This broadside has timetables and fare information for trains from San Antonio to New Braunfels and from Taylor to New Braunfels and points between along with text that reads in part: 

PICNIC At LANDA’S PARK NEW BRAUNFELS The Most Beautiful Picnic Grounds in Texas, SUNDAY! July 16, 1899 – Three Concerts By Carl Beck’s Military Band.  This will make an ideal place for a day’s outing.  Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Cake-walks, Dancing, etc. – The International Route, International and Great Northern R.R. Will run Special Train from San Antonio and make VERY LOW EXCURSION RATES! – MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC! The Special Train will run direct to the Park

This original antique broadside is fully complete and intact with light handling wear and some modest toning from age.  The broadside has two small tack holes at the top, a couple minor scattered spots and a couple short tears without paper loss on the top and bottom edges.  Overall condition is very good for this antique original.
