This vintage original and rare WWII poster was issued by the United States Treasury Department, War Savings Staff Education Section.  This is actually three posters printed on a single sheet which was designed to be cut up for classroom use with each of the three posters by a different artist.  This poster is unique in that in that it features Native American imagery, all three artists that created artwork for this poster were Native Americans and all were students at the United States Indian School at Santa Fe  – Ben Quinata (Ha-a-Tee), Charles Presbentonequa and Eva Mirabal (Eha-Ha-Wa).

Text on the poster suggests this poster was issued as part of the effort to get school aged children involved in the sale of War Savings Stamps.  War Savings Stamps could be purchased with small amount of spare change and then saved up an redeemed for War Bonds.   We don’t know of any other American WWII posters that were created by Native American artists or any that featured artwork created by school age children.   For that matter, we don’t know of any other American WWII era posters that featured Native American imagery.

This vintage original poster is folded as issued and in excellent, near mint condition with just slight handling wear and a single clean pinhole on each corner.  Overall condition is excellent.
