This dramatic and rare WWII poster was created by the artist Amos Sewell for the United States Army Ordnance Department’s Keep ‘Em Shooting promotional campaign in 1943. The Keep ‘Em Shooting campaign was implemented to provide encouragement, recognition and motivation to ordnance factory workers on the home front.   An American soldier and his comrades form the first wave of an amphibious assault as enemy fire is directed toward the landing craft and invasion force behind them.  Text on the poster - READY FOR ANYTHING – thanks to you! is a message directed to the ordnance factory workers that toiled around the clock to supply the vital arms and ammo needed to win the war.  The lower margin indicates a 1943 production date and shows the US Army Ordnance Department insignia and the “Keep ‘Em Shooting!” propaganda campaign slogan.

This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear including edges lightly bumped in spots. The original owner made a brief notation in red pencil on the back of the poster not affecting the front side.  The poster retains strong color and displays beautifully with striking effect. Overall condition is very good.  This poster is folded as issued and will ship that way.
