This vintage original British travel poster promoting Northern Ireland as a travel destination was created by Hans Unger and issued by the British Travel Association in 1968.   Unger’s colorful style features a man playing golf, a sailboat, Antrim Tower and the bugler of the Hillsborough Fort Guard over the title Britain Northern Ireland – land of legend.   Hans Unger was born in Germany and emigrated to South Africa in 1936 and then to Great Britain in 1948 after serving in WWII.  Unger designed several posters for London Transport and other British clients and is among the most prolific and recognized poster artists working in Great Britain in the postwar era.  Text below the title indicates this poster was printed in Great Britain by the Upton Printing Group and shows the document code 91/ENG/68/14 indicating a 1968 publication date.  

This poster is free of tape and pinholes and shows only slight handling wear and short tear of less than an inch without paper loss about half way up on the right edge.  The colors are strong and overall condition in very good.
