This is a folded one sheet movie poster for the 1970 American documentary film Groupies.   This film was directed by Ron Dorfman and Peter Nevard and follows the exploits of mostly young women who follow rock bands to try and get close to the musicians.  This documentary filmed over nine months, released by Maron Films Limited and features interviews, fly-on-the wall observations and onstage and offstage footage of the little-known groupie subculture.  One of the groupies featured in the film is “Cynthia Plaster Caster” who achieved some notoriety for creating plaster casts of the penises of various rockstars and later other celebrities.   Her cast of Jimi Hendrix’s penis is currently on display at the Icelandic Phallological Museum in Reykjavik. 

This poster is a vintage original from the 1970 first American release of the film. This poster is free of tape or pinholes, folded as issued and looks lightly used with only light handling wear and modest toning from age.  The movie title is written neatly in pencil on the back of the poster.  Overall condition is very good.
