This is a vintage original c.1940s advertising poster or paper sign issued by the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago advertising the company’s arcade cards. The Exhibit Supply Company manufactured novelty arcade cards of many types including sports, pinup girls, movies stars, jokes and more. These cards could be obtained from coin-operated vending machines in arcades, carnivals, boardwalks and other places. This poster advertises “Nut Crackers” or joke cards for sale at a penny each with brief instructions on how operate the vending machine – Put One Cent in Slot. Push Slide in-then pull out slowly and receive card.
This poster isn’t dated but is a vintage original and does show a patent date of 4-15-41. We date this late 1940s or 1950s. This vintage original arcade advertising poster is free or tape or pinholes and looks pretty well unused with just some bumping to the edges and light handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
