This rare vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States Public Health Service to remind Americans of basic things they could do to stay healthy and reduce demand for medical care which was severely strained at the time due to wartime demands. The poster’s title reads Just By Keeping Well YOU can help WIN This War. The poster reminds that nearly one third of American physicians were in the armed forces and lists five simple health rules, each illustrated by a cartoon type vignette. The rules which hold true yet today include:
1. Eat Right
2. Get Your Rest
3. See Your Doctor Once A Year
4. Keep Clean
5. “Play” Some Each Day
This vintage original poster is free of tape of pinholes and looks pretty well unused with only light wear on the fold lines and some toning from age. Overall condition is excellent.
