This vintage original poster was issued by the United Yugoslavian Relief Fund which was sponsored by the American Friends of Yugoslavia, Inc. and a member agency of the National War Fund dedicated to providing relief to war ravaged Yugoslavia. This poster features an image of Yugoslavian partisans fighting Nazi invaders which was created by the Welsh political cartoonist and caricaturist Leslie Illingworth for British humor and satire magazine Punch of the London Charivari.
This vintage original poster is free or tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear and toning from age most evident on the upper corners. Illington’s name is signed in print at the bottom of the artwork and an Allied Printing Trades union made emblem is printed on the lower right corner. Overall condition is very good for this vintage WWII era original.
