This vintage original window card style poster was issued by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, or VFW as the are commonly known, to help promote voting. This is a window card style poster printed one side only on lightweight posterboard. The unknown artist depicts a scene of a squad of US Army soldiers engaged in battle with a large image in the foreground of a man’s hand placing a ballot into a ballot box. Text on the poster printed in patriotic red, while and blue reads:
WE FOUGHT For…Your Right To VOTE…NOW USE IT!
The VFW insignia appears in the lower left corner and the bottom center is printed with a small allied printing trades union made emblem. This vintage original c.1950s window card style posters shows light to moderate handling wear and a bit of light foxing at the bottom. There is a small quarter inch cut on the right edge and the upper left corner is a bit bumped. Overall condition is very good for this vintage original.
