This is a group of three different vintage original c.1972 workplace safety posters issued by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. These posters are all part of the “Take it from Duffy” series that feature the avuncular advertising character “Duffy” giving safety advice to his fellow steelworkers on working in a high heat environment. This group includes posters numbered 3, 4 and 5 and includes tips from Duffy on taking salt to prevent heat cramps, avoiding alcohol and consulting with a doctor before working in high heat environment.
These vintage original posters are not dated but look to be from the early to mid 1970s. Each of the posters is printed with the Bethlehem Steel logo. These posters look pretty well unused with no tape or pinholes and only moderate handling wear including slight bumping to the edges and corners in places. Overall condition is very good.
