This vintage original c.1950 Swiss travel poster advertises the mountain resort of Lenzerheide in Grisons, the largest and easternmost canton of Switzerland.  The artist A. Willi renders an image of a deer standing next to a single Alpine pine tree which groans under a massive load of freshly fallen snow in a scene that reminds the viewer of Lenzerheide’s popularity as a winter sports and skiing destination.  The attitude of 1500 m/5000 Feet is shown just below the name Lenzerheide printed across the top of the poster.  The artist’s name is signed in print in the lower left corner of the image area and the lower right corner shows the printer as Paul Bender, Zollikon-Zurich.

This vintage original poster has been professionally conservation mounted to linen.  A few short tears and small abrasions near the upper corners were repaired during the linen backing process and show lightly.  The original colors are well retained and the poster displays nicely.  Overall condition is very good.
