This delightful travel poster was issued in the early 1950s to promote Odense, Denmark and features Hans Christian Anderson and other famous Danes that called the town home at different points through history. The poster was designed by the artist Olle Hjortzberg whose signature appears in the image area. Whimsical caricatures of Odense’s most famous sons and daughters along with their brief descriptions form an attractive border framing a colorful perspective of the charming town center. The lower margin is printed “A/S HAGEN & SIEVERTSEN”
This vintage original poster was never hung and is in very good clean condition with just some modest handling wear and lightly bumped edges in a couple spots. Overall condition is very good.
