This vintage original poster is one in series issued by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway in the late 1940s and early 1950s to promote travel by rail to the American West. For this poster, the artist Willard Frederick Elms renders a rustic image of the rugged Red Cliffs area situated along the Continental Divide near Navajo and Zuni Reservations in Cibola County, New Mexico. Elms's rendering gives a Mid-Century Modern twist to this ancient wonder and really captures the awesome splendor of this scenic national treasure. The Santa Fe Railroad logo and Elms’s name signed in print appear at the bottom of the poster.

This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen and is in excellent condition overall with just a bit of expert touchup to a small abrasion in the margin near the upper left hand corner not affecting the image area. Overall condition is very good.
