This vintage original silkscreen poster was created by Italian Artist Aldo Cosomati and issued by the British West Indian Airways to help promote the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica as a travel destination.  For this poster Cosomati renders a stylized view of a Jamaican man in colorful dress with sugar cane and bananas all in a pleasing Mid-Century Atomic Age design style.   This poster isn’t dated but we believe dates to the early to mid 1950s as it retains the airlines original name of British West Indian Airways.  In the 1960s the airline name was changed to British West Indies Airways and acquired by the government of Trinidad and Tobago.

This vintage original silkscreen poster is free of tape of pinholes and shows just light handling wear.   Overall condition is very good.
