This vintage original Canadian travel poster was created by the artist J.B. Hallam and issued by Canadian Government Travel Bureau in the 1950s. A solitary man in hip waders surrounded by the region’s abundant natural beauty skillfully wields his flyfishing rod to hook a trout on what looks like a beautiful summer day. The intent focus of the fisherman surrounded by such natural beauty brings to mind the famous quote of 19th century writer Washington Irving – “There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of mind."
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with expert repair to a couple short tears and slight creases on the edges. There was a small bit of skillfully replaced loss on the tip of the lower right hand corner. The colors remain vibrant and the poster displays beautifully. Overall condition is very good.
