This vintage original TWA poster promoting New England as one of the airline's travel destinations was produced in the 1950s by William Ward Beecher whose name appears in print on the left side of the image. For this poster Beecher renders a charming scene symbolizing his native New England. A Ship-in-a-Bottle and an old rooster weathervane are set against a rustic window through which we see sailboats, a boathouse and a TWA Lockheed Constellation airliner flying past high above.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed and minor defects expertly repaired including a short one inch tear without paper loss at the bottom edge and a couple short tears along the left edge. A bit of scattered foxing was mitigated during the linen backing process allowing the poster to retain its original rich color and beautiful display quality. Overall condition is very good.
