This handsome Mid-century poster was created by Franz Schwetz for the Austrian spa and ski town of Bad Gastein which is nestled in the High Tauern mountains south of Salzburg. Schwetz’s artwork depicts the remarkable waterfalls that cascade right through the middle of this picturesque Austrian town. The lower margin indicates “Printed In Austria - WUB-Druck, Innsbruck.”
This unrestored poster is lightly used and has short vertical tear of about 3 cm at the bottom edge up through the word “Youth”. Closer examination reveals some crazing or light horizontal crease lines in places. The poster is very clean, free of any tape or pinholes and displays nicely.
