This vintage original poster was created by Danish artist Otto Nielson for the Scandinavian Airline System and issued in the mid-1950s. For this poster Nielson renders a Mid-Century Modern design featuring a group of sharply dressed cosmopolitan travelers from around the world disembarking an SAS airliner. This poster isn’t dated but Nielson began working for SAS in the early 1950s and this poster probably dates to around that time period. The lower margin indicates this poster was printed in Denmark by the Aller Press, Ltd. and Nielson's initials appear in print in the lower right corner.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with some touchup as needed including expert mitigation to some scattered foxing and a small area of overpainting to address small spots near the lower righthand corner. Overall condition is very good.
