Local men and women congregate on the Ghats or steps to the River Ganges and engage in leisure or their daily chores. The Shikhara towers rising from this ancient and sacred city’s temples appear across the skyline. The lower margin is printed “A.C. 346 - English – 20,000” and indicates the poster was printed in India by M/S New Jack Printing Works Ltd of Bombay.
