This is one of several delightful Mid-Century posters done by Stan Galli for United Air Lines. Galli’s unmistakable style is instantly recognizable in the image of bronzed tourists and their Hawaiian guides riding the waves in an outrigger canoe. A lively ocean of greenish blue is set against a distant beach of golden sand protected by the rugged Hawaiian coastline formed some five million years ago by seamount volcanic activity.

This poster isn’t dated but was produced in the early 1960s. This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with some expert touch up as needed including repair to pinholes on the corners.  The poster had small areas of surface contact loss of paper along the top edge where is looked like a couple pieces of tape had been pulled off and this was expertly repaired during the linen backing process.   The poster retains its original vibrant color and overall condition is very good.  Interested buyers can contact us for photos of the poster prior to the linen backing.
