This is an original antique window card style poster issued as an advertising piece by Columbia Phonograph Company to advertising and promote a series of records released in 1918 featuring Thornton Burgess reciting his Bedtime Stories.  This poster is printed one side only on lightweight cardstock and features artwork by Harrison Cady who had illustrated several of Thornton Burgess’s children’s books.  This poster advertises five different 12-inch Columbia Records of Burgess’s Bedtime Stories and features characters from the stories illustrated by Caddy including Peter Rabbit, Old Mr. Toad, Buster Bear and Reddy Fox.    

This vintage original poster has the document code “Adv. 1022-2-18” printed in the lower lefthand corner.   This window card poster also has the logo for the Columbia Grafonola phonograph introduced in 1907 and manufactured until 1924. 

This original antique window card style poster is fully complete and well intact with moderate handling wear and some dust staining.   Overall condition is very good.
