This is vintage original lobby card from the 1937 Republic Pictures western movie serial Gunsmoke Ranch which is signed and inscribed by Sammy McKim who starred in the film. The inscription in black ink reads:
Jim – These 3 guys are a fine memory - & a gallant trio! Sammy Kim
The Three Mesquiteers was an umbrella title used by Republic Pictures for a group of 51 western B-movies released by the studio between 1936 and 1943. Gunsmoke Ranch was the seventh movie in the serial released in 1937. Sammy McKim was a child star in Hollywood in the 1930s who would gone on to serve in WWII and Korean War. After the wars McKim left the movies and had a second career working as illustrator for Walt Disney Studios for more than 30 years.
This lobby card shows moderate handling wear, a bit of dust staining and toning from age and couple small spots and marks. The autograph is bold and in very good shape. Overall condition is very good.
