This vintage original poster was created by the father and son illustrating team J. Walter and Walter G. Wilkinson and issued by the United States Treasury Department in 1942.  This poster promotes the programs wherein American workers could invest in United States Defense Bonds and Stamps through payroll deductions with their employeer.  The father and son Wilkinson team created a few different government posters during WWII and did other commercial illustration work which they signed together as “Wilkinsons”. 

This poster was issued folded and shows light handling wear including slight bumping to the edges and about an inch of separation on the vertical fold line on the top and bottom edge.  This poster is a bit curled from having been stored rolled at one time but has been returned to its original folded state and ships folded as issued.    This poster is free of tape or pinholes and retains the original strong color without fading.   Overall condition is very good.
