This vintage original WWII poster is one in series created by the Walt Disney Studios in 1943 for the Nutrition in Industry Committee of the Los Angeles County War Council. This poster features beloved Disney characters Donald Duck and Horace Horsecollar to remind factory workers and others laboring in support of the war effort of the importance of eating a nutritious breakfast. Horace Horsecollar is shown blasting Donald with a jackhammer under the poster’s title you can’t breakfast like a bird and work like a horse! A 1943 copyright by Walt Disney Studios is printed on the poster.
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and and shows moderate handling wear and has a small hole of about 3/8" at the top between the words "bird" and "horse". There is a small shallow notch off the right edge near the lower corner not affecting text or illustration and slight wear on the right edge near the top corner. There are a couple small spots on the back of the poster that do not show on the front side and modest toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
