This vintage original WWII era poster was issued to help promote the sale of bonds connected to the Victory Loan which was the eighth and final of the war loan drives running from October 29 to November 8, 1945. This poster features the image of a nurse stretching out a roll of gauze bandages showing the words “share the care - VICTORY LOAN”. The use of a nurse and the words “share the care” helped to remind Americans that although the fighting the stopped in Europe and the Pacific a lot of the men and women involved were still fighting to recover and rehabilitate themselves.
This vintage original horizontal format poster looks unused and is in excellent, near mint condition with just light handling wear including a short tear without paper loss of less than a half inch on the right edge and modest toning from age.
