This delightful poster was created by Stanley Roy Badmin for the British Travel and Holidays Association and features an idealized view of one of the country’s charming country market towns. The lower margin is printed “Published By The British Travel And Holidays Association, And Printed In Great Britain By Chromoworks Ltd. 53/42/14”. Badmin’s remarkable eye for detail transports us back to a simpler time. A green grocer does a brisk trade from his stall, farmers escort their cows across a stone bridge and townspeople go about their daily routines on what looks like a beautiful Spring day in England.  Badmin produced several lovely travel posters for London Transport and the British Railways. He also illustrated travel guides for the Shell Oil Company and did book illustrations for Penguin as well as other clients.

This poster is a vintage original which was never hung and in excellent, very clean condition.
