This is one in a series of advertising posters featuring Native Americans issued by the Pontiac Motors Division of General Motors in the mid 1950s. This poster honors the Navaho people and their sandpainting art form and is titled Fine Art For A Day. The same poster was issued in a smaller size as part of a portfolio of prints given away at dealerships but this is the full size version measuring 38” x 25”. This poster shows some toning from age and moderate handling wear including some slight creasing in the image area, pinholes on the corners and a short tear of about and inch on the left edge. Overall condition is good plus.
