This vintage original French travel poster featuring a stylized image of the prehistoric cave paintings at Lascaux-Montignac was issued by the official tourism ministry of France in 1955.   Text below the image reads: 

Prehistoric cave paintings at Lascaux – Montignac – about 20,000 B.C. – FRANCE On the Dordogne Valley road 

The lower left edge indicates the printer as Mourlot Imp. Paris and shows a 1955 publication date.   

This vintage original French travel poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including a few short tears and small nicks on the edges.  There is a small chip off the tip of the lower right corner and short tears of about an inch on the bottom edge and on the right side near the upper corner.   Basic linen backing, which we can arrange for an additional cost, should get this poster looking almost like new or just display it as is.  Overall condition is very good.
