This vintage original poster featuring a novel calendar design for 1965 was issued by Eugene Feldman’s Falcon Press of Philadelphia. This poster lays out the entire year in a horizontal format with months in rows and days in columns with the day of the month shown for the first day of each month only. The lower left corner indicates a copyright by The Falcon Press.
Eugene Feldman was born in Woodbine, New Jersey in 1921 and started experimenting with his own letterpress by the age of 13. After serving in WWII as a mapmaker Feldman started his Falcon Press in Philadelphia in 1948 where he handled both graphic design and commercial printing and also produced his own fine art prints and art books.
This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and looks pretty well unused with only light handling wear and modest toning from age evident on verso. Overall condition is very good.
